VTON privacy policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This policy describes how Bridzia Sdn Bhd (“we,” “us,” or “our”), trading as StyleProfile, collects, uses, and shares information in the VTON Shopify app. VTON is a virtual try-on app for Shopify stores. The public website for the product is styleprofile.io. The StyleProfile privacy policy covers the website and retailer accounts on styleprofile.io. This page is the policy for the Shopify app.
1. Who this covers
Merchants install VTON on a Shopify store. Shoppers use Try On on that store. This policy covers both.
2. Information we collect
From the merchant
- The store address Shopify signs when the app is installed, and the staff member using the app.
- Product information needed to prepare garments for try-on, such as title, images, sizes, styles, and variants.
- The app plan. Shopify bills the store. VTON does not collect the merchant's card number.
- Messages sent to us: feedback, support questions, and replies we keep so we can answer them.
From shoppers
- Try-on counts. The merchant sees these counts in the VTON admin, including the customer's name and email when Shopify provides them, so the merchant can manage allowances.
- Avatar photos. A shopper may upload a photo so VTON can generate a try-on. That photo is used for that shopper's try-on. It is not shown on the merchant's usage page.
- Result images. VTON keeps the generated try-on image so the shopper can review their try-on history on the store. Those images are not shown as a gallery in the merchant admin.
- Product interaction. Which products a shopper tries on, including details, sizes, and styles needed to produce the result.
Collected automatically
- Usage. How the app is used: features opened, try-ons started, and the time of those events, so we can run the allowance and keep the service working.
- Device. Technical data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and a device identifier, used to deliver the widget and to investigate errors or abuse.
- Cookies and similar storage. Small files or browser storage that keep a try-on session working on the store. Cookies on styleprofile.io are described in our cookie policy. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies in the try-on widget.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the try-on. Generating a result sends the avatar photo and garment images to the image provider that produces the render.
- Run the merchant account: installation, plan, allowance, support, and the Try-On Usage screen.
- Send service messages about the app, such as install, billing, or support replies.
- Measure how the app is used and improve accuracy and performance.
- Protect the service, prevent abuse, and investigate faults.
- Comply with the law, including Shopify's customer and shop data requests.
A shopper photograph is used to produce that shopper's try-on. It is not used to profile the shopper for advertising, and it is not sold.
4. Quality review during development
During the development phase, VTON system administrators can review avatar photos and generated results in a console that is separate from the Shopify admin. That review is only to improve try-on quality and accuracy. It is not part of the merchant's Shopify admin.
6. When a customer asks for their data
Shopify notifies VTON when a customer asks for their data. VTON prepares a file in the app under Try-On Usage. The merchant downloads that file and gives it to the customer. The file can include try-on counts, the avatar photo, and result images held for that customer.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
A shopper should start with the merchant whose store they used, or with Shopify. Shopify then notifies VTON, and we prepare the file described above. A merchant, or anyone else, can also write to us at the addresses in the contact section. We will say if we need the merchant or Shopify to complete the request.
8. Deletion
When Shopify asks VTON to erase a customer, VTON deletes that customer's usage records, avatar photos, and result images for the store. When a store has been uninstalled and Shopify asks VTON to erase the shop, VTON deletes the store's try-on records, including shopper photos and results. You can also ask us to delete personal information we hold, subject to records we must keep for the law or a dispute.
9. How long data is kept
We keep information only as long as we need it to provide the service, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Usage counts stay so the merchant can run the allowance. Result images stay so the shopper can open their try-on history. Avatar photos stay so later try-ons for that shopper can use the same photo. Data is deleted when Shopify sends a deletion request, or when the shopper deletes it in the try-on experience where that control is available.
10. Processors
VTON uses Shopify for installation, billing, and customer identity. Product images and try-on images are stored so the app can run. Generating a try-on sends the avatar photo and garment images to the image provider that produces the result. Those providers act on our instructions to operate the service.
11. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure, including encryption in transit and access limited to people who need it to run the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data and is likely to put your rights at risk, we notify you and the relevant authority within the periods the law sets.
12. Children
VTON is a business app sold to merchants. The try-on widget is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect a photograph or other personal data from anyone below the applicable digital-consent age in their jurisdiction, typically 13 to 16, and higher where local law sets a higher bar for imagery of this kind. If we learn we hold such data we delete it. If you believe a child has uploaded a photograph, write to us at the addresses in the contact section.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product or the law changes. The revised version is posted here with a new “last updated” date. Where a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we notify merchants before it takes effect.
14. Contact
Questions about this policy, and requests to exercise a right, go to privacy@styleprofile.io or enquiry@bridzia.com.my. You can also use the support email published on the VTON listing in the Shopify App Store.
