Outfit builder
An outfit builder is a shopping tool that lets a customer assemble a complete look and view it as one image rather than as separate product pages. It covers top, bottom, shoes and bag, turning the unit of decision from a single SKU into the outfit a shopper actually wears.
Mechanically, an outfit builder holds a slot for each category and re-renders the whole look whenever one slot changes. Composing all the pieces in a single render is what keeps proportion and lighting consistent; assembling separate renders side by side produces a collage, not an outfit.
For merchandising, the by-product is as useful as the feature. Every look a shopper builds is a record of which pieces they were willing to picture together, which is upstream of any sales report and arrives before the season does.
